Simple Thai Fried Rice

  • 1/2 cup of brown rice
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of chopped vegetables (kale, carrot, onion)
  • sesame oil for pan
  • soy sauce
  • garlic powder
  • tofu

Cook your rice and water in a rice cooker until all the water is gone. Cook your carrots and onion with soy sauce and about a tablespoon of sesame oil on high heat for 3 minutes. Turn your heat down and add the rest of your ingredients except for the kale. Cook for 10 more minutes and add the kale when there are 8 more minutes left.

Optional step

Put some of your fried rice in a bowl. Pack it down with a spoon and then flip it over on a plate. Remove the bowl and you will be left with a restaurant-style fried rice castle. Serve with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. Enjoy!
